Mr. Ross Wraight:IFAN new President

IFAN is delighted to announce the election of Mr. Ross Wraight, an Australian, as its next President. Ross starts his three-year term of office on 1 January following the completion of a six-year term by Mr. Neil Reeve from Shell. Mr. Reeve, who stays on the IFAN Board, as Immediate Past President, said that Ross’s reforms and leadership in the standards world and elsewhere had been truly remarkable. He is very well-known in the industry and brings a very diverse background across financial, professional, health and industrial services to the role. He has been a CEO of several organizations and will bring a new perspective and energy to IFAN.
Ross has a strong background in standardization and conformity assessment and, in ISO, was the Chairman of the Technical Management Board and a member of Council. He was Group CEO of Standards Australia and CEO of SAI Global.
About Mr. Ross Wraight:
Mr. Ross Wraight is the Group President and CEO of Standards Group Limited, as well as the Chairman for one of Australia’s leading international asset consulting companies CPG Research and Advisory. Mr. Wraight previously was CEO of SAI Global Ltd. (ASX: SAI) from 2000 to 2007. He also served as the Group Chief Executive of Standards Australia between 1996 and 2003. He held senior roles in Advance bank, Elders, NSW Health and Ernst and Young.
He served as the Vice-President (Technical Management) and the Chairman of the Technical Management Board of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), between 1999 and 2003. He also represented Australia on the Council of ISO and its finance committee from 1997 to June 2004. He is a fellow of the Australian Institute of Management, a member of the Australian College of Health Service Executives, Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Companion of the Institution of Engineers Australia.
