Memorandum of Understanding Between EOS and ANSI

The Egyptian Organization for Standardization and Quality (EOS) and the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for collaboration in the fields of developing standards and implementing quality criteria. Dr. Eng Mahmoud Eisa, EOS President, has signed for EOS while Mr. S. Joe Bhatia, ANSI President and Chief Executive Officer, has signed for ANSI.

Trade-Related Assistance Center (TRAC), the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt in collaboration with EOS has organized a Standards Conference on this occasion.

The U.S. Ambassador in Egypt has also witnessed the signature of the MOU, assuring that this MoU aims at enhancing the distinct bilateral relationship between the two countries especially in respect of strengthening the commercial and economical relationships.

Dr. Eng. Mahmoud Eisa assures that this MoU conveys the mutual understanding between the two parties in the fields of standards and measurements indicating as well that EOS signed another MoU with the American Society for Testing and Materials which is valid till now.

Mr. S. Joe Bhatia also indicates that Egypt is considered as one of the most important trade partners and he expects the enhancement of the trade relationship between the two countries after concluding this MoU.
