IFAN received a formal invitation about ISO Strategic Plan 2011-2015

Mr. Ross Wraight, IFAN President, has received a formal invitation from Mr. Rob Steele, ISO Secretary-General, to contribute to the development of the ISO Strategic Plan 2011-2015. The brochure Consultation for the ISO Strategic Plan 2011-2015 was attached to the letter.

At its meeting held in Geneva on 30-31 March 2009, the IFAN Board entrusted IFAN WG 15 Standardization strategies, chaired by Mr. William Anderson, with the development of IFAN official proposals for the ISO Strategic Plan 2011-2015. The Board asked Mr. Anderson to consider all available related materials, including the IFAN proposals submitted to ISO in 2003 for the development its strategy for 2005-2010, the suggestions put forward at the IFAN workshop held in Geneva in September 2008, the comments of IFAN members related to these suggestions, and papers and comments considered at the Board meeting, and to prepare with the assistance of IFAN WG 15 members the first draft paper in response to the above invitation.

Members of IFAN are invited to send their proposals, if any, as soon as possible, but not later than 20 May 2009 to Mr. Anderson (anderson.we@pg.com) who kindly agreed to lead the work. The Board decided that the draft paper should be circulated, at the end of June, to the entire IFAN membership for comments/approval by the end of July.
