"The Government of Canada is pleased to bring the Canada Pavilion to the Newfoundland Home Show this year," said the Honourable Rona Ambrose, Minister of Public Works and Government Services. "The Pavilion provides an excellent opportunity for Canadians and visitors to learn more about government programs and services available to them and to find out more about its priorities."

The Canada Pavilion is an exhibition that participates in various events across the country-travelling to each province once a year. It encourages Canadians to meet face-to-face with Government of Canada representatives in an inviting, interactive and informative environment.

Several government departments and agencies will be present. Public Safety Canada will be there promoting an initiative that encourages Canadians to prepare for emergency situations that could last 72 hours. Other departments featured at the Canada Pavilion will include Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, the Canada Revenue Agency, Service Canada, and the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada. The Canadian Forces will also be there celebrating the Canadian Navy's centennial year.

The Canada Pavilion has won numerous prizes since its creation in 2000 and has welcomed more than seven million visitors.
