Call Centers Hold to Better Service with KS Certification

 KATS plans to expand its KTo strengthen the competitiveness of the service industry, KATS implemented a KS certification system for call centers starting June 9.

Furthermore, later on, KATS plans to expand its KS certification to facility management, parcel delivery, cleaning, and funeral services, all of which have been the subject of numerous complaints from the public or which need to enhance service quality.

For service KS certification, applications can be filed by business site, and certification audits will be composed of business site & service audits.

KS certified service business sites will be subject to regular inspections every year. If consumer appeals or complaints are made, on-site investigations will be conducted, and those businesses that fail to meet audit criteria will have to take either corrective action or risk having their certification suspended or withdrawn.

“I believe the KS certification system for the service industry will improve productivity and the quality of service in Korea,” said the Director of Culture and Service Standards Division at KATS. “Not only will this protect consumers, but it will also make the service industry more competitive.”
