Standard Schedules Information Manual (SSIM)
Follow the industry standard
This Manual is designed to help originators and recipients of schedule information in terms of electronic data processing and conventional manual message procedures. Its use is encouraged for all IATA Member Airlines and their business partners as the standard for the exchange of scheduling information. To achieve standardisation in technique, format and construction, this manual includes all relevant IATA standards and recommended common practices, including those of the ATA/IATA Reservations Interline Message Procedures - Passenger (AIRIMP).
Published only in English twice a year in March and October.
March edition (Book & CD) is effective as of March 01, 2008, while the October edition (CD-ROM) will be effective as of October 01, 2008.
Please note that the SSIM CD-ROM can only be used with Acrobat version 6 or 7. If the user has Acrobat 8, the application must be removed in order to access the CD-ROM.
NEW!!
SSIM annual subscriptions now include notification updates to Passenger Terminal Indicators of Appendix D as well as UTC/Local Time Comparisons of Appendix F.
As SSIM is produced biannually, in March and October, notifications of ad hoc changes between editions are vital in maintaining accurate data and will be communicated to the e-mail address provided at subscription.
