KATS Signed MOU for Collaboration on Color Standard

On June 26, KATS concluded an Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Busan Design Center for overall business relating to the Color Standard. The MOU focused on the mutual cooperation in common utilization of color standard information and technical progress of color & design industries.

 Under the MOU, the two organizations agreed to make efforts for enhancement of public convenience and development of color & design industries through technology standards and designs, utilizing the color standard information of KATS.

 With the establishment and revision of 14 color-related KS (KS A 0011- Names of non-luminous object colors, ect.) starting in 2003, KATS has promoted the national standardization project for color while publishing and supplying of Korean Standard Color Book, Korean Standard Color Names, Korean Standard Digital Color Pallet (web-based search program to recognize color names) and so on.

 KATS is also proceeding with ''Saekdong Korea'' Project (also referred to as "Korean digital color encyclopedia") to disseminate national color standard information to the general public and relevant companies since 2007.

 KATS expects that conclusion of the MOU with the design center will be helpful in building a technology infrastructure to spread national color standard and upgrade the competitiveness of color & design industry.
